Samiur Rahman Talukder is Founder & Managing Partner at The ESB Group LLC. Prior to founding The ESB Group, Mr. Talukder held several positions within the financial services industry including buy-side investing and proprietary trading in New York. His experiences within the financial services industry consist of Merrill Lynch, UBS Investment Bank and RBS Greenwich Capital. Mr. Talukder graduated with honors from the University of Bridgeport, with a B.S. in Finance & Accounting and a minor in Business Economics. Samiur was also appointed to serve as an advisor to the Business School Dean’s committee at his alma mater. As a liaison between Business School alumni and the university, and as a mentor, he has advised the university and international students on internship, job search strategies and execution.

Samiur has also been involved with U.S. and international non-profit organizations. Mr. Talukder sits on the Executive Board of the Muslim Consultative Network; a faith based non-profit organization that works to strengthen the diverse New York City Muslim community through education, capacity-building and social justice advocacy. As a Net Impact Scholarship recipient, Samiur has also served as a Net Impact Service Corps member in New York. Samiur’s pro-bono consulting services have consisted of advisory services and outreach engagements with U.S. and international organizations, such as the Grameen Foundation, Grameen America Inc., and Givology.

Samiur is an active participant with the Business Council for the UN, a division of the United Nations Association of the United States of America, which serves as a catalyst for action, understanding and innovative business opportunities between the UN and business leaders and employers of major US corporations. Samiur is also an active participant with Young Professionals in Foreign Policy, a nonpartisan 501(c)3 organization dedicated to fostering the next generation of foreign policy and public service leadership.

In 2009, Mr. Talukder was selected as one of 300 global Muslim Leaders of Tomorrow in New York by the Cordoba Initiative, an organization that aims to have an impact in the American Muslim Diaspora and promotes positive engagements between the Muslim World and the West. He was also selected as a Carnegie New Leader by the Carnegie Council for Ethics in International Affairs, a non-profit think tank institution that promotes ethical and moral leadership in international affairs. He has been profiled by the American Society for Muslim Advancement (ASMA Society), a civil society organization aimed at promoting positive engagements between American society and American Muslims. Most recently, he was also nominated for the World Technology Award in social entrepreneurship by the World Technology Network, in association with Time.





Malvern Ngoh, CPA is Co-Founder and Managing Partner at The ESB Group LLC.

At present, Malvern is a financial analyst at Sikorsky Aircraft Corp., a United Technologies Company. Mr. Ngoh was an associate in the UTC Finance Leadership Program and has both domestic and international experiences. During his most recent rotation as part of UTC's Finance Leadership Program, he worked in the United Kingdom. Prior to UTC, Mr. Ngoh worked in the hedge fund industry at Wexford Capital LLC. Mr. Ngoh graduated with honors from the University of Bridgeport, with a B.S. in Accounting.

Mr. Ngoh's interests include college student mentorship. In 2008, Mr. Ngoh also set up a scholarship fund for outstanding minority students at his alma mater.

 

 

 

 

Leslie Abbey is a Partner at The ESB Group LLC.

At present, Leslie is an Associate at Morgan Stanley. Prior to Morgan Stanley, Mr. Abbey worked at Prime Energy Corp., an oil and gas exploration and development company. Based on his academic background and interest in the energy industry, Mr. Abbey is leading the initiative at the ESB Group on using alternative energy for steel manufacturing companies in Ghana. Mr. Abbey graduated with honors from the University of Bridgeport, with a B.S. in Accounting.

Mr. Abbey's interests include college student professional development. In 2008, Mr. Abbey also set up a scholarship fund for outstanding minority students at his alma mater.

Martin Kalema is a Partner at The ESB Group LLC.

At present, Martin is pursuing a career at Ernst & Young in the Financial Services Group within Assurance Practice. Prior to Ernst & Young, Mr. Kalema worked at Morgan Stanley and Pepsi Bottling Group. Mr. Kalema graduated with honors from the University of Bridgeport, with a B.S. in Accounting.

In 2008, Mr. Kalema also set up a scholarship fund for outstanding minority students at his alma mater.

Jagir Jhaveri is Co-Director of International Development at The ESB Group, LLC

Jagir is leading initiatives for The ESB Group in India. Mr. Jhaveri graduated with honors from the New York Institute of Technology with a B.S. in Finance and Management.

Mohammed Saoud Sharief is Co-Director of International Development at The ESB Group, LLC.

Saoud is leading capital raising initiatives for The ESB Group in Dubai, UAE. Saoud brings a wealth of private sector experience and Islamic Finance to The ESB Group LLC. Currently, he serves as a Credit Officer at Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB). In his most recent role, Saoud has been responsible for commercial retail banking, SME banking, and Islamic finance focused on credit cards and home mortgage. As a Credit Officer, he leads his unit in site visits and serves as the contact point verification person liaising with middle office and back office divisions at ADCB.

Asheke Culzac is Director of Finance at The ESB Group, LLC.

At The ESB Group, Asheke has led the initiative in creating framework for reporting and presenting financial data in accordance with the triple bottom line (TBL) standard. Asheke has also developed measurable social timelines for the different stages of client consultation.

Shake graduated with honors from the University of Bridgeport, with a B.S. in Accounting and Finance.

Richard J. Greenwood, M.S., MBA MBA is Director of Marketing at The ESB Group, LLC.

At The ESB Group, Richard is leading initiatives on market research and communication. Richard has worked within marketing communications, health care consulting and most recently worked as a strategy and marketing intern at Rolls-Royce Corporation. In this capacity, Richard worked closely with senior management in developing a systematic format and process used to collect competitor intelligence data.

Richard Greenwood graduated with honors from the University of Bridgeport, with an MBA and an M.Sc. in Technology Management.
