The ESB Group’s Summer internship program and Volunteer Corps aims to:

  • Provide summer interns with valuable opportunity to build awareness and research skills on poverty and underdeveloped regions in the MENASA region.
  • Contribute to an open-source library of research on important issues and challenges facing the region.
  • Build a culture of civic participation and volunteerism, innovation, and empathy. Eventually, we hope they will take leadership in crafting innovative initiatives and projects that seek to address social challenges confronting underserved members at the economic, base of the pyramid.

Summer Intern, 2010:

The ESB Group’s summer intern for 2010 is Alfred Mwalwanda. Alfred Mwalwanda, UB Class of 2011, is a rising senior at the University of Bridgeport double majoring in Accounting and International Business.

This summer, Alfred Mwalwanda will be working closely with Richard Greenwood, Director of Marketing, in conducting market research in select countries in Africa to identify market opportunities and sustainable strategies for The ESB Group, LLC. As part of his internship, Alfred will be conducting a competitive analysis, SWOT analysis of The ESB Group and make recommendations for viable courses of action that he will present to senior management.

The ESB Group, LLC will also work with volunteers from Catchafire.org focused on brand identity, social media strategy plan and social media campaign engagements.
